About Ariane Mariane

Intuitive mixed media artist & Gestalt practitioner

Intuitive Visual Artist

Ariane Mariane places the creative process at the heart of her work. Rooted in textile art, her practice unfolds as a vibrant dialogue between color, texture, and intuition. She blends wet felting, fibers, pigments, paper, and found materials into expressive compositions that move between painting, collage, sculpture, and sometimes wearable art.

Her primary impulse is to create with what is present in the here and now. She follows the flow, always ready to explore unknown territories and allow something new to emerge. For her, the final object comes second: it arises through encounter, through the contact between her hands and the material. Guided by the movement of the moment, her work shifts freely between 2D and 3D, figurative and abstract, color and monochrome.

Through her journey as an artist, Ariane Mariane discovered the transformative power of creativity. Working with materials became a way of listening deeply to herself. It's a way of reconnecting with who she truly is, feeling fully alive, and shaping her life in resonance with who she is becoming. By listening to her truest self, her art remains authentic and deeply singular.

Her creations emerge through a process of exploration, layering, and response. Often, the work seems to “happen” on its own, as if guided by the materials and the unfolding moment. Her studio is a space of experimentation, where materials meet, collide, and transform. There is no fixed plan or concept. Only presence, curiosity, and a willingness to explore, to make mistakes, and to discover new textures, forms, and possibilities.

Color plays a central role in her language. Bold, vibrant, and sometimes unexpected combinations bring a sense of vitality and playfulness to her work. Her forms are sculptural yet organic and fluid, oscillating between figuration and abstraction, between inner landscapes and tangible matter.

Ariane Mariane’s work is deeply embodied a living process of transformation

passionate Teacher

As much as she loves creating, Ariane is deeply passionate about guiding others on their own artistic path.

She teaches the way she creates: from the heart, intuitively, playfully, and authentically. This approach opens a space where participants can reconnect with their inner artistic spark and explore their own creative language.

What begins as art-making often becomes something more. Many discover new parts of themselves through the process, and for some, a workshop marks a meaningful turning point in their lives.

To better support these often unexpected yet profound experiences, Ariane chose to deepen her path by training in Gestalt therapy. This allows her to accompany others not only in their creative exploration, but also in the personal transformations that may emerge along the way.

Art & Gestalt

How I came to combine Art &Gestalt

For over 20 years, I have been exploring textile-based visual art in an intuitive and spontaneous way, while teaching workshops both online and in person. Through my own practice, as well as through the experiences of my students, I have witnessed the profound impact of making art.

Art allows us to reconnect with our truest self. At the same time, creating authentic art requires us to stay connected to this original source.

To deepen my understanding and better support myself and others in the therapeutic and transformative process of art-making, I trained in Gestalt therapy:

I also hold certifications in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) from ReaActive and trauma-sensitive approaches with Marietta Ullmann.

I continue to deepen my practice, guided by the powerful transformation that unfolds when art and therapy meet. Lately, I have been especially drawn to the intersection of Gestalt with clowning, theatre, and dance. These fields nourish my work and subtly shape the way I accompany others.

The following workshops have particularly influenced my current approach:
