Let's color this world with our colors of love and hope

While nature is awakening all around in the northern hemisphere, I enjoy a moment of increased creativity, completely immersed in the precious inspirational flow. My head bursts from ideas, and my days are just too short to fit all my ideas and envies in.

I'm especially happy to have finished some art pieces that have been in the studio for weeks, month and sometimes even years. Like this one - made in 2017 and finished in 2025:

The above mixed-media-nuno-felt wallhanging, started in 2016, recently got a (final?) bold touch. Suddenly, within a minute, I felt inspired and courageous to go in and make the colorful transformation. This is when I feel how much of my own life and feelings go into my art. Even so I don't always get the message (or am not willing/ready to receive it), Intuitive art allows me to connect with my unconscious and my higher self!

All my art is an exploration and always an intuitive one. I often use pareidolia. One of my favorite approaches is to assemble all kinds of papers on a piece of prefelted wool. Through wet felting I blend these together. During felting and fulling, everything gets transformed; the wool fibers connect with each other and embark the papers on their shrinking process, creating intriguing textures and often an unexpected color shift. At the end I am always facing the unexpected. With needle and thread, I discover this new universe. The free motion stitching reveals shapes and figures, and I find stories in the deep surface.

The two next paper-wool-felt pieces are made like this:

"Don't Let Clowns Rule Your World" is the name of the above paper-wool-collage wallhanging. It took me more than 6 months from start to finish. Made intuitively, the current political scenery without doubt influenced my imagination even though I do not consider myself a political person. What happens around me, of course, impacts me but I decide to not be submerged by it; Instead I focus on positivity and do my best to color this world with my colors of love and hope, as suggested by Marc Chagall:

I wish, by showing an example, to INSPIRE you to find the courage to put your creativity first, too,. Togther let's color this world, which dearly needs artists, people who are connected to their higher self and universal love!

To reveal the artist we all have inside us, I created the monthly, donation-based event INSPIRE. Cek it out here:

    With Love & Hope,
    Ariane
