Discover how to transform wool, paper, and words into a meaningful, expressive wearable artwork. In this two-part online workshop, you’ll learn Ariane’s signature technique of encrusting paper into wool fibers, combining blackout poetry, free-motion stitching, and mixed media to create a truly one-of-a-kind cowl.
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced fiber artist, this workshop invites you to explore your creativity through texture, storytelling, and intuitive making.
Two live online sessions:
Day 1 (January 24): 3 hours — main techniques, paper encrusting, poetry, layout
Day 2 (January 25): ~2 hours — stitching, shaping, finishing, Q&A
Each session includes demonstrations, guided practice, and time to ask questions.
A materials list will be provided upon registration. Basic felting tools, paper of your choice, a sewing machine (for free-motion stitching), and wool fibers are recommended.
If you’ve been wanting to learn how Ariane creates her signature text-infused cowls, this is your moment.
