Creativity, awareness, and transformation
For more than two decades, Ariane Mariane has worked as an independent visual artist and facilitator. Through both her own artistic practice and the creative events she has led, she has witnessed how creativity can become a powerful catalyst for discovery, expression, and change.
Over time, she noticed that the creative process often touched much more than artistic questions. Working with our hands can open a pathway to our inner world, inviting reflection on life transitions, relationships, self-confidence, and personal growth.
Seeking to better understand these transformative experiences, Ariane discovered Gestalt: an approach rooted in many of the same principles that guide intuitive art-making: presence, awareness, experimentation, and trust in the unfolding process. This led her to train as a Gestalt practitioner in Germany and France.
Today, she brings these two worlds together, integrating her artistic background into individual sessions while drawing on Gestalt's relational and body-oriented perspective in the workshops, retreats, and creative experiences she facilitates.
Gestalt: The Art of Becoming
About
A humanistic and experiential approach to self-awareness, personal growth, and meaningful relationships.
Developed in the 1950s by Fritz Perls, Laura Perls, and Paul Goodman, Gestalt Therapy is a humanistic and existential form of psychotherapy that focuses on present-moment awareness and lived experience. Rather than analyzing the past alone, it explores what is happening in the here and now: our thoughts, emotions, bodily sensations, and patterns of relating to others and the world around us.
Rooted in psychoanalysis, phenomenology, and existential philosophy, Gestalt therapy views each person as a whole and recognizes an innate capacity for growth, creativity, and adaptation. By developing self-awareness and deepening contact with oneself, others, and the environment, Gestalt therapy supports personal transformation, emotional well-being, authentic relationships, and a more fulfilling way of living.
A Performance on Creativity, Transformation & Becoming
In her performance 21 Fragments, Ariane Mariane's brings to life many of the themes at the heart of her practice: emergence, creativity, imperfection, and transformation. Created from textile fragments gathered over two decades of artistic exploration, the performance reflects on what becomes possible when we trust the creative process and allow something new to take shape
